TRUCKIN' FOR THE TROOPS
Supporting Troops & Citizenship Education
Thanks to Schools and Businesses
A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to our school and business partners in Carroll, Cherokee and Fort Dodge who helped support citizenship and community involvement for the 2011-2012 school year. Spurred by Jim O'Halloran and O'Halloran employees in all locations - Truckin' for the Troops collected and shipped care package items to troops overseas and is sponsored Karlos Kirby to talk with kids to build awareness about citizenship - in local, national and global arenas.
Care Packages
(Updated 4/19/2012) The generosity and character of Iowans is amazing. Through partnership with schools, business and industry (including special help from Character Counts in Fort Dodge) hundreds of troops received care packages. Care package items were donated at events and locations in Carroll, Cherokee and Fort Dodge; volunteer help then assembled individual gift packages and sent them overseas.
Citizenship: Kids & Communities
